E-content reviewers required

UNESCO, through its project ANSTI, is implementing an e-content development programme through training and support for content development for both asynchronous mode of delivery using mainly portable media - CDs and synchronous mode on e-learning platforms. Several training activities have been mounted and academic staff from across African universities have benefited. These staff have been engaged by UNESCO/ANSTI to develop e-content materials in various subject areas in Basic and Applied Sciences and Engineering and Technology. Some of these courses or modules are now available for review before they could be made available for use by students and other interested parties. UNESCO/ANSTI is calling for content experts in the following subject areas: Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Civil and Mechanical Engineering, Geology, etc to submit proposals to participate in the review process.

The following should apply:

University academic staff teaching basic or engineering subjects such as listed above.

Guidelines:
  1. To review the factual aspects of the content, the presentation style, representation, and objectives.
  2. To evaluate the presentation (pedagogic aspects) of the content on CD in as far as it meets learning objectives. The reviewer will answer such questions as "does the presentation style enhance learning"; "is the navigation cumbersome or appropriate?" etc.
  3. Staff who can review e-content for more than one subject would be preferred.

If you are interested, please submit your CV and a brief statement of intent why you think you can do the work:
